Resumo
O texto discute as relações urbano/rural no processo de desenvolvimento. Parte-se do pressuposto de que as cidades precisam de zonas rurais próximas, e territórios rurais precisam das variadas oportunidades e da produtividade das cidades, com o propósito de responder a algumas questões chaves, dentre elas: quais são as principais mudanças já identificadas na relação que os espaços ou territórios rurais mantiveram com cidades, aglomerações e metrópoles? A ruralidade foi extinta ou se está vivendo o renascimento do rural?

Changes in the relationships between rural and urban spaces

Abstract
The article discusses the relationship rural-urban in the development process. The initial supposition is that cities need nearby rural areas, and rural territories need the varied array of opportunities and productivity of the cities, in order to answer some key questions, such as: what are the main changes that have already being identified in the relationship that rural areas or territories have kept with cities, agglomerations and metropolis? Is the rural way of life extinct or are we seeing the rebirth of it?
