The neoextractivist development model based on the extraction and exportation of commodities such as minerals has been one of the strategies for Brazil's insertion in the international market economy. However, despite the economic prosperity generated in the trade balance, regional experience shows that this development model, as well as the mineral extractive industry, has generated perverse effects on the territories where they are installed. In this sense, the objective of this article is to analyze the living conditions of women in mining municipalities in the Amazon, precisely in the state of Pará, based on microdata from the Unified Registry for the years 2014 to 2017. The results point to a scenario of vulnerability for this group, especially when analyzing access to basic sanitation and education.
