Recent haphazard urbanization and the adverse effects of climate change are growing concerns in global climate research. In the Amazon region of Pará, Brazil, the lack of comprehensive studies with geo-environmental sustainability indicators (IGAS) hinders a complete understanding of the impact of human activities and public policies in the region. Therefore, this study analyzes IGAS in the municipality of Barcarena, Pará, between 2000 and 2010, in order to identify environmental and socio-economic impacts and guide the design of public policies for balanced regional development. Using data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and geoprocessing techniques, the study evaluates water supply, wastewater treatment, and solid waste management indices. The results show significant progress in environmental sustainability, although challenges remain in certain areas. This analysis is key for the United Nations' 2030 Agenda, providing essential data to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
